The men were allegedly involved in a multi-million-dollar conspiracy to defraud a federal health care program for military members, TRICARE. The men owned a pharmacy that targeted TRICARE members and submitted claims to TRICARE for expensive compound drugs that were not legitimately prescribed. The indictment claims that between November 2012 and September 2015 there were more than $54 million in claims submitted and TRICARE paid $42 million to the pharmacy. These claims came from beneficiaries in 30 states and several other countries.
