Head of biker club named in federal drug trafficking case

Many arrests occur in Florida that involve drug-related activities. Anyone charged with federal drug trafficking understands that he/she will be going up against an aggressive prosecution, most likely seeking maximum penalties if a conviction is rendered. A person in such circumstances is strongly advised to retain the legal help of a highly experienced criminal defense attorney.

An incident took place recently in Central Florida where a biker club leader and his wife had their home raided by federal authorities. It was approximately 6 a.m. on a Tuesday when agents swarmed the motorcycle club leader’s house. The 56-year-old man has since been charged with multiple serious offenses that include gaining profits from federal drug trafficking and prostitution.

Current charges against the club leader also claim that he has used violence and fear to intimidate people. A Federal Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman said that the same man was listed among 16 others who were indicted in connection with alleged acts of violence against club members who reportedly attempted to leave their club to join a rival group. Some say FBI investigators targeted the man in the investigation because of rumors that suggested the orders of violence against others had come from him.

Obviously, one accused of federal drug trafficking in Florida or anywhere would want to take advantage of all possible resources to build a strong defense. Seeking immediate consultation with an experienced attorney would be a logical decision to begin the process. If the situation warrants it, a defense attorney can challenge a portion or all of the charges against a defendant.
